Paphos - Kourion

Every Wednesday and Sunday

By taking part in Pafos/Kourion excursion you will have a chance to discover the legends and the history of one of the most beautiful archeological areas in Cyprus. In the first part of this tour we will stop at the archeological site of Kourion: there you will see private houses of late roman period, early Christian Basilicas and even the ancient Hellenistic Theatre where fascinating gladiatorial contests took place.

The next stop will be at Petra tou Romiou- the place where according to legend, the Goddess of Love and Beauty was born from the foam of the sea.

You can even swim here, and who knows, maybe you will come out from the water as beautiful as Aphrodite was.

The next stop of this tour is Pafos. Plenty of time will be given for lunch and for sightseeing. Pafos has an interesting history with several ups and downs: from being Cyprus's ancient capital city, to  a forgotten fisherman village and then back to an important town, without losing its charm.

The town attracts tourists from all over the worldwith its catacombs of St. Solomoni and the Pillar of St. Paul and its villas decorated with unique floor mosaics depicting scenes from Greek mythology. With a small entrance fee you can visit all of these interesting places. You will also have the possibility to take a stroll along the picturesque Pafos Harbor and have a look in the many appealing shops.

Lunch and entrance fees in museums are not included in price.
